National Honor Society secretary, junior Laura Everett, talks to NHS members about upcoming service projects during their meeting on January 8, 2021, in room 108.

The National Honor Society chapter at VCHS  had a meeting on Friday January 8, 2021, in Room 108.  During this meeting chapter officers explained to members that they must complete service projects and gave ideas for good opportunities to help serve. The VCHS chapter is currently running a group service project, in which they go around the high school at the end of each week and collect recycling and help dispose of it. This project will be ongoing until the last week of February.

Members of NHS must participate in not only group service projects, but individual projects outside of school for their community during each semester.  During the meeting, senior members who had completed these individual service hours before listed examples of good ways to serve and ideas of ways new members could find ways to serve.
